3:30pm Saturday 31st July 2010
A FIFTEEN-strong team of women from Cirencester have raised £20,000 in aid of Cancer Research UK.
The Bees Knees took part in their second 24-hour Portsmouth Relay for Life on the weekend of July 17-18 but have been collecting for the cause all year.
The team, which is made up of friends and family from The Bees Knees Pub, in Cirencester, raised the money through donations and by holding fundraising events including a well-attended show and a car boot sale.
Team member Joanne Maw said: "The group raises money for this brilliant charity because so many people are affected by cancer."
